Remembering Angelo “Buddy” Botticelli
Our beloved father and second generational owner of Dom’s Sausage Company, Angelo “Buddy” Botticelli, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 24, 2023 surrounded by family and loved ones. Known to all as Buddy, he leaves a lasting legacy on our company and our local community through his kindness, generosity and entrepreneurial spirit. He supported thousands of employees and their families for more than 50 years as the owner, and made this company a household name in the New England region through his signature recipes for Dom’s Original Steak Tips and marinated meats. He is the spirit behind our slogan Family, Food and Tradition – and we are honored to carry on Dad’s legacy here at Dom’s. He will never be forgotten.
To give our employees and customers time to pay their respects, we will close the store early on Wednesday, March 1 at 4 p.m. and it will be closed all day on Thursday, March 2. We will be back to our normal business hours starting Friday, March 3.
Please join us in celebrating his life on Wednesday, March 1 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the McDonald Funeral Home at 19 Yale Avenue in Wakefield, MA. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his name to the Lions Clubs International Foundation by visiting lionsclubs.org/en/
